ABOUT IRIS DE VITA

Born and raised in the vibrant city of Queens, New York, with summers on Long Island, I was surrounded by a family deeply rooted in the arts—photographers, filmmakers, and artists. This early exposure ignited my passion for the entertainment industry, leading me to pursue a career in television and film.

Experience

My diverse background encompasses roles in public relations, writing, and photography. I’ve collaborated with prominent entities such as ABC, NBC, WPLG-TV/10, American Movie Classics, Cinema Arts Centre, and E2W Collective. These experiences have shaped my expertise in the dynamic realms of both mainstream and independent entertainment.

I am a self-employed professional as a publicist and photographer. My clients include business owners, artists and performers. I also photograph events and specialize in beach portraits.

Whether through strategic publicity campaigns, captivating photography, or curating events for performing artists, I am passionate about helping you thrive with utmost enthusiasm and expertise to make you shine!

Meaning Behind My Business Name: Golden Iris

The name Golden Iris holds layered meaning—rooted in mythology, media, and personal history. Yes, Iris is my name, but it’s also inspired by Iris, the Greek goddess, a divine messenger who traveled with golden wings, delivering news and connecting people—much like what I do in my public relations work.

The name also plays on the “iris” of the eye—a perfect symbol for my work as a photographer, capturing emotion and story through a lens. In cameras and TV production, the iris controls the aperture and light, and back in college, my TV club friends nicknamed me “Auto Iris”—a playful nod that stuck with me.

And why Golden? It’s a tribute to the radiance of the goddess, but also to how I want my clients to feel: seen, valued, and golden—whether it’s through a beautifully framed photograph or standout press coverage.

Golden Iris represents vision, voice, and visibility across both of my creative worlds.
